DfT considers a big shake up of Bus Registration system

In the wake of the Bus Services Act DfT has held consultation meetings around England and visited nearly 60 stakeholders. The findings that have just been released include “Bus Service Registration and EBSR hinder open data” .

The recommendations which will go out to further public consultation propose a decentralised publishing model with data being published as close as possible to the source and made available through a discovery portal.
